The Cal Learn Program is designed to provide counseling and supportive services to pregnant and parenting teens. The purpose of the program is to support the teens as they complete high school. The program provides case management until the client obtains a high school diploma.
The program is designed to assist the young people with guidance and life counseling. Counselors monitor school progress and assist with ancillary needs including health care, family planning, nutrition, education, transportation, housing and other services.
Experienced case managers are available at most of our locations throughout Sacramento County and provide services in many languages.
The Cal Learn Program is an educational program for expectant and parenting teens receiving CalWORKs to earn a high school diploma or GED and become independent to form healthy families.
Eligibility requirements include receiving CalWORKs assistance; be an expectant parent or be a parenting teens under 19 years of age with no high school diploma or equivalent education.

Getting your diploma Once in Cal Learn, you will be assigned a case manager who will help you develop a plan to finish high school or earn a GED. If you are not currently attending school, your case manager will assist you in finding the right school to meet your needs.
